Increase due date visibility

I like the idea of due dates and I want to leverage them but their visibility right now is pretty poor. I only see them if I go to the specific task or to the tab. I never go to the tab because I like to see my brain dumps.
Not sure what the best solution is here but I always miss my due dates right now which defeats the purpose of them. I need them to be more in my face.
Random idea dump:
- automatically add the task to the date that it's due
- always-visible view for tasks that have due dates
- show the due date without clicking into the task

This! Needs to be more comprehensive. I'd like to see a list of everything upcoming as far as I'd like to scroll. It's currently cutting off AND it's not clear how far it's showing. I'd like Upcoming to have the date range listed for clarity. It would be a game changer to be able to select that date range and see everything in one place. This year is senior graduation for my eldest and I have a massive amount of to-do things. I had to type them all out as a list on a notepad, I'd rather have them all in Ellie. :)

This is very solid for v2 of this. Quick clarifications before I start anything:
#1 has been requested before, will add as a setting for sure (should be fun technically haha)
#2 Could you elaborate on this one? Right now there is a setting (screenshot attached) where you can select what the visibility setting is but its pretty limited. Would this be an (always show) type option that overrides this?
#3 This might have to do with a combo of #1 and #2. Right now it only shows up depending on the users setting (defaults to 7 days). I have a feeling if I add both of those this should address it
Thanks again Sarah for taking the time to write all of this!

Chris: Re #2: I just meant being able to always see a list of tasks wth due dates because I always have it on my brain dump list and not the due date list. Yes agreed #1 would probably be enough here!

Sarah: ooh ok i think I understand, so basically a special type of list that lives alongside all of the other lists? Just checking to make sure I got it^

Chris: yeah but I think if we had #1 that wouldn't be necessary :)
